Project overview

I joined Tajilabs in a time when they needed a UI/UX Designer for their company to do research and design the final look of the product. I was tasked with designing a courier App and Dashboard to track the delivery and company activities and growth. I led the design process for Aqua Flow from start to finish.

Aqua Flow aims to revolutionize the water  industry by providing an all-in-one solution that caters to both customer convenience and operational efficiency. With its robust feature set and user-centric design, Aqua Flow is the ultimate tool for the company.


Problem Statement

Couriers for this company face significant challenges in obtaining delivery signatures and efficiently tracking their deliveries. These issues lead to delays, customer dissatisfaction, and increased operational costs.

The company had a hard time tracking purchases and also the profits and losses made.

Solution

Developing a saas app that effortlessly captures delivery signatures and offers real-time tracking of deliveries. Additionally, creating a comprehensive dashboard for administrators to monitor records, purchases, profits, and losses, ensuring seamless oversight and efficient management.

User Interviews

Involving the user during development decisions is crucial in a user-centred design process. By conducting user interviews, I was not only able to gain insights into the needs and wants of users but also become more familiar with their struggles. 

I interviewed 3 of the delivery people to see what challenges they get.

Difficulty in Obtaining Delivery Signatures 

 Existing  methods for capturing signatures are unreliable and cumbersome to use.

Tracking Delivery Records

It is hard for a courier to track delivery which are done and  waiting to be done.

Overload

Having a lot of deliveries it is hard to keep track of all of them hence there is a need to check which deliveries to be done

Lack of Support and Resources

Lack of necessary tools or resources, such as proper navigation systems, package scanners, or handling equipment.

User Story

Daniel has been working as a delivery driver for over three years, initially starting with food delivery apps and later expanding to water delivery services.

He values flexibility in his job, as it allows him to balance work with personal interests like outdoor activities and spending time with friends.

He owns a reliable mid-sized sedan, which he uses for all his delivery jobs. He is conscious of the wear and tear on his vehicle, as maintenance costs come out of his pocket.

We assigned 5 users to test our prototype and it was done individually and remotely to see their true reaction and also how they navigated through the prototype. We had two admins to test the dashboard and three couriers to test the app
